The GRUNDIG GCB-1 is a unisex bike and is offered in a single frame size. The aluminum frame of the city bike is of high quality and has an integrated guide for shift and brake lines, which results in a clean look. The e-bike is available in three colors: lava gray, light gray and ice blue.

Drive & battery

The GRUNDIG GCB-1 is powered by a powerful 80 Nm Bafang motor. The motor is powered by a 540 Wh Li-ion battery with LG cells, which can be removed from the frame. This makes it possible to charge the battery separately or replace it if necessary. In the test, the almost empty battery was fully charged in just over 7 hours using the included charger.

LCD display

The e-bike has a small LCD display that can be used to set the motor's assistance levels in 3, 5 or 9 levels. The display also shows data such as distance traveled, current speed and average speed. The e-bike’s lighting can also be controlled via the display. The system will automatically turn off after a few minutes of inactivity to save energy.


The GRUNDIG GCB-1 promises a range of up to 100 km. In the test, this range was even exceeded when the lowest support level was constantly used. With maximum support, a range of over 60 km is still possible. The full support of the 80 Nm motor enables effortless acceleration to 25 km/h.


The e-bike is equipped with a Shimano Altus 9-speed gear system, which enables smooth shifting. The Tektro hydraulic disc brakes ensure safe and reliable braking performance. LED lights at the front and rear ensure good visibility and safety when driving at night. The GRUNDIG GCB-1 also offers a high level of riding comfort and reliable absorption of bumps with a Suntour Nex 25e front suspension fork, a suspended seat post and wide 47-622 tires.
